Flowing designs and easy undulating lines draw my eye to sophisticated jewelry that’s meant to be worn. I used a Czech glass button and a bronze-and-copper button as focal pieces in this embroidered necklace. Brown iris seed beads and gold and bronze glass and fire-polished beads create a warm, earthy appeal. Blue fire-polished beads add color balance. The closure for my 17½-in. (44.5 cm) necklace is a peyote stitch loop and bead.
