I've been working for Bead&Button for nine years now, and with all the projects I've made it's not often that I come across a technique that is totally new to me. But the "Metal and leather bracelet" free project by Marla Salezze that just went up on our website this week presented something I haven't done before. No, it's not the woven bracelet part. Rather, the bracelet features a customized button made with a button blank, a small amount of epoxy clay, and an image transfer. Image transfers aren't totally foreign to me, but I've never done one onto epoxy clay before, and I have to say I'm rather enamored of both the technique and the results. Plus it was really fast and easy, and who doesn't like that? I am envisioning all sorts of things I can make using this fun technique -- I can't wait until I have a little free time to play! What about you? Have you done this sort of image transfer? What new techniques have you learned recently?
