Has your love of beads led you to working with wire (or vice versa)? Do you have any original wirework jewelry that you'd love to have published? Now's your chance to take the first step! Wirework magazine is a special issue of Bead&Button that comes out twice a year. We're busy finishing up the Fall 2013 issue, but we're also accepting submissions for the Spring 2014 issue. Any jewelry items made of wire or chain mail are game, and we're also looking for more complex works that can be shown in the pages of our brand-new gallery.
The submissions process is a cinch: Simply upload photos of your finished work to www.contribute.kalmbach.com, and make sure to select Wirework as the magazine you want to submit to. Use the comments section to tell us all about the piece(s), and you're done! Our cut-off date for Spring submissions is September 2, Labor Day. If your project(s) are chosen for publication, we'll ask you to send in your jewelry, write up the instructions, and (if possible) take how-to photos to help show the process.
I hope you'll consider showing us your wire and chain mail designs. Having your work published is a great feeling and a nice boost to your jewelry-making career!
