Greetings! Now that my home studio is in order, I've been busy working on some new things. Recently I've been trying to take some techniques with my concept art and incorporate them into more wearable creations. Eventually I would like to photo etch and construct an Electro-Etch tank. I think...

Two questions. First, what is the difference between the copper solution used in electro-forming and the solution used in electro-plating. Second what is the solution I need to plate copper over copper to cover solder joints? I've been tossing an iron nail into my pickle, but I need something reliable...

Hi! I'm new to this so sorry if this is a silly question. Hopefully somebody more experienced than me can help me out with this concern. I was wondering in which the condition should metal sheets be sold? What I mean is that I bought two metal sheets from Contenit (copper metal sheets in 22 and 24g...

Hello! This is my first time posting my work here. This bracelet gave me a hard time start to finish but I really think it was worth the effort in the end. I got the name from a person who said it reminded them of unburied treasure. Hope the name isn't too lame [XD]. I hope you enjoy!

I have just bought some copper colored solder from www.rawtreasures.com it is much cheaper than what is shown at www.beadmeus.com . It sounds like pretty much the same stuff but there may be a difference in melting point. It seems very critical on the amount of heat used to melt it. By that I mean that...

To fabricate her bracelet, Kim O’Neill combined copper, brass, roof flashing, silver, and transparencies. “I like to put a spin on my jewelry by combining old with new — sort of vintage meets modern. I also love the effects of acid etching and the endless possibilities of that technique.” Photo by Daniel...

I am keying this in as I anticipate a short vacation to Florida. Which
probably explains my first choice: "Racing Octopi Pin" posted by Brad Elfrink, aka buttoncarver . I'm a sucker for cephalopods, and this trio carved from vintage Bakelite is fantastic. We now journey from the ocean depths...
