New FREE projects for December 2011

So how's that holiday gift-giving list coming? Have you gotten stuck on any hard-to-stitch-for friends or family members? Perhaps these new free projects will be just the ticket:

• Samantha Mitchell's "Picket fence" bracelet (above) combines trendy Tila beads with an ultra-feminine look. The title of the project is a nod to Samantha's vision of picket fences in the angles made by the beads, but we almost named it "Frosted windowpanes" because of the white version. (In other words, this is a great project for a seasonal palette.)
• The prolific Robin Griffes designed her "Kaleidoscope" peyote pattern (below) with the toy in mind, as her rainbow motif suggests. Maybe it's just the month, but I can't help but see snowflakes and wouldn't mind working up a version in white, silver, and blue.
• As a special bonus, we've posted instructions in our blog to make Jennifer Ursillo's "Oh, Christmas tree" earrings (right). Stitch them into earrings, a pendant, or an ornament.
