River of light
by Karen Joelson
In her latest Maggie's Musings blog post, designer Maggie Roschyk experiments with bowtie-shaped or "farfalle" beads. I've also heard these beads referred to as "barbells." Typically, I've seen them strung rather than stitched, but Maggie musters up the courage to work them into peyote, herringbone, and right-angle weave swatches. See the results in her blog and glean her expert tips for working with this unique shape!
