Beading and 10th anniversaries

By now you may have heard that the Bead&Button Show is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. Registration is now open so you can sign up for classes.

Other beaders are excited to celebrate their 10th anniversaries, too, like The Bead Shop (Nottingham) Ltd in Nottingham, England. In January 2000, Hana and Robin started their bead store as a tiny venture, which has grown into a flourishing shop, wholesale, and mail-order company now housed in a five-story building on Market Street. To celebrate, the staff made a beaded birthday cake with more than 8,000 crystals, cylinder beads, and seed beads. It took them four weeks to make this cake. They had a real cake, too, which took them far less time to eat. Now that’s what I call having your cake, and beading it, too!
