Occasionally someone asks me about Bead&Button's "All Projects Fully Tested" button that we sometimes print on our magazine covers. I am asked, do you really test all the projects? The answer is, yes! Each project editor is assigned several jewelry projects, or stories, per issue. She shops for the components and remakes the designs in order to test each project, determine the steps needed to make the design, and write the instructions for Bead&Button readers. The projects are then made step by step. The project editor schedules photo shoots in our in-house studio for each stage of the project that she deems necessary to depict in a photo. She also works with our Art Department on illustrations, which are all produced in-house. We receive some challenging projects, and the editors exchange ideas and solutions in response to these challenges. They also contact the designers for follow-up information. We do all of this to ensure that our projects are not only beautiful and fun to make, but that they have complete instructions that you can follow.
